Exciting News!! 

No more waiting on hold, you can avoid long wait times on the phones. Appointments for check-ups and sick visits can be booked through the patient portal at yourhealthfile.com and via text message by texting 954-580-4800 for the Coral Springs office, 954-473-1101 for the Plantation office and 954-722-0300 for the Tamarac and Miramar offices. We sincerely hope that this will improve our capacity to care of your child efficiently. Our dedicated staff is reaching out to patients that are due for a check-up to avoid the busy check-up season before school starts. 


We also wish to remind you about new features at CMA that will allow you to make payment and booking appointments easier. You will be alerted by text of any outstanding balances, and you can make electronic payments by accessing the Children’s Medical Association link attached to the text alert. In addition, you can continue paying balances through the patient portal at yourhealthfile.com link in our website www.childrensmedicalassociation.com.

SIMILAC FORMULA RECALL 

On February 17, 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced it is investigating consumer complaints of Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella Newport infections. All of the cases are reported to have consumed powdered infant formula produced from Abbott Nutrition’s Sturgis, Michigan facility. As a result of the ongoing investigation, along with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state and local partners, the FDA is alerting consumers to avoid purchasing or using certain powdered infant formula products produced at this facility. This is an ongoing investigation, and the firm is working with the FDA to initiate a voluntary recall of the potentially affected product. 


The FDA is advising consumers not to use Similac, Alimentum, or EleCare powdered infant formulas if: 

  • the first two digits of the code are 22 through 37; and 
  • the code on the container contains K8, SH or Z2; and 
  • the expiration date is 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later.

Your doctors and Nurse Practitioners at CMA are excited to announce that we have moved through the COVID pandemic and are now fully open. Sick appointments are available throughout the day in all office locations. As of May 2, 2021, physicians will resume seeing sick patients on Sunday mornings in Coral Springs, and as of July 4, 2021, physicians will resume seeing sick patients on holiday mornings in Coral Springs. Telemedicine services will continue to be available 7 days per week during office hours, and in-house rapid PCR testing for COVID-19 will continue to be available when indicated. We remain strongly committed to using appropriate protective equipment and following strict infection control guidelines, creating an environment that is safe for all of us. Welcome back!!!!
